Why We Are Called “Tenkan”
Tenkan (天干), the “Heavenly Stems”, is a set of ten characters — 甲 乙 丙 丁 戊 己 庚 辛 壬 癸 — that ancient China used to understand time and space. More than 3,000 years ago, during the Shang dynasty, the Heavenly Stems were already used to record dates on oracle bones.
By observing the movement of the sun and the length of shadows, people tracked the passing of time, found directions and knew the seasons, and used that knowledge to decide when to sow and when to harvest and to guide their daily lives. The Heavenly Stems are one of the earliest “technologies” through which humanity read the laws of nature and applied them to production and everyday life.

Just as people 3,000 years ago looked to the sky to make their lives better, we want to use today's technology — AI, cloud and IoT — to improve people's lives. Our name carries our commitment never to forget where technology began, and to make it serve people.
The Meaning of Our Logo
Our logo combines the sundial, which tells time by the sun's shadow, with the Chinese character 人 (“person”).
The Sundial日晷
The sundial is the most representative instrument of ancient China for uniting time and space: it measures time by the shadow the sun casts from its gnomon. The upper part of our logo is a simplified form of the gnomon standing upright on the dial.
Ancient understanding of the universe came from watching the sun, moon and stars — and that is where our design begins.
“Person” and the Unity of Heaven and Humanity人
The lower part of the logo is the character 人, “person”. Seen together with the whole composition, it forms the character 天, “heaven”, expressing 天人合一 — the harmony of humanity and nature.
As Laozi said, “Humans follow the earth, the earth follows heaven, heaven follows the Way, and the Way follows nature.” People are the root of reason and order, and people are always at the center of our technology.
The Golden Ratio1 : 0.618
The logo is built on the golden ratio (about 1 : 0.618), long regarded as the most beautiful of proportions. A well-ordered, recognizable mark quietly builds trust.
Corporate Colors
The symbol uses a deep blue that evokes the sky; the wordmark uses a calm charcoal gray.
